Fun stay!

So much fun from start to finish! The atmosphere is unbeatable, everyone is so friendly, and there’s always something going on. The entertainment was insane, the bar had themed parties, DJs, and pool parties with fun games. The food was great, they have a great variety and super affordable, perfect for travelling on a budget. The facilities are incredible—gym, pool, big kitchens, it’s like a backpacker’s paradise. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a fun, social, and affordable stay

Excellent place to stay

Checked in today for a bucks group. The hostel was great but the bar, pool and day bar staff were nothing but amazing. Terri , Ethan and Andrea made our experience so much better. Will be definitely rebooking.

Fantastic place! Staff are very welcoming from the moment you check in, and the dorm rooms have great facilities. My first time at a hostel I was anxious to share a dorm but Gilligan’s exceeded expectations. I felt incredibly safe during my stay after I had to move to Gilligan’s from my initial accommodation, which wasn’t so safe. But I stepped into Gilligan’s and slept easy! The beds are very comfortable, be assured room service is there every day to keep the room in check, the balcony was an outstanding feature. If you’re on level 2 it might be noisy at night but it’s a party hostel after all and just adds to the atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly, the events were awesome. Great location right in the heart of the CBD. Book it you won’t be disappointed!

Great place with so much to do!

Hostel itself is great, big clean room with a balcony and big lockers for storing your bag. Travel store downstairs was great and helped us book some day trips. Brilliant atmosphere around the bar area with good deals on drinks and food

Probably the best place to meet backpackers in Cairns. Definitely where to go if you like to party. Can get a discount on entry and on drinks if you’re staying here. The atmosphere is amazing and the location is perfect! It’s right in the centre so everything is on your doorstep, I promise you’ll never get bored.
