Premier buses arrive/depart from the bus station adjacent Cairns Central shopping centre.
This is only a few minutes walk.
The Greyhound terminal is located on Abbott Street.

How much does it cost to stay at Gilligan’s?

We have several different room types available, which offer something to suit all budgets. We offer special deals, especially for longer stays so be sure to ask the team when you enquire!

When we receive it, if we have a booking in the system for you, we will save it for your arrival.

Where is the post office?

Reception and the Travel Desks do have maps available and our staff will be able to direct you. As we are located in the CBD, we are very close!

The post office is located on Sheridan Street, only about a block away from Gilligans, approximately a 3 minute walk.

Where is the Reef Fleet Terminal?

Reception and the Travel Desks do have maps available and our staff will be able to direct you.

The Reef Fleet Terminal is located just a few blocks away from Gilligans, and is about a 10-15 minute walk.

The Reef Fleet Terminal is the departure point for most companies who go out on the reef. If you are unsure where your trip departs from, call the company you booked it with to confirm!

Are there lockers in the room?

We do have small lockers in the rooms (approx 20cm x 15cm), which are handy for storing your valuables. You do need to bring your own padlock to secure the locker.
We do sell these at reception if you do not have a spare padlock.

Is reception 24 hours?

Gilligan’s reception is open 24 hours a day. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable or comfortable at any time.

What is check-in time?

Check IN is from 2 pm each day. If you arrive prior to 2 pm, come see us at reception and we can store your bags for you for FREE until you return later in the afternoon for check-in.

What time is checkout?

Checkout is strictly by 10 am each day. If you wish to extend your stay, please do so before 24 hours before you are due to check out to avoid disappointment. At checkout, you need to bring down all of your luggage, your room key, and your pillowcase.

Do you offer early check-in, or late checkout?

Unfortunately due to very high occupancy we are not able to offer early check in or late check out.
If you would like to check in as soon as you arrive you will need to pre-book for the night before.

Do you offer luggage storage?

We have a luggage room in the reception of Gilligans.
Guests ARRIVING to stay at Gilligans can store their luggage free of charge on the day of check in.
Guest DEPARTING Gilligans are welcome to use the luggage storage facilities.

Where is the gym?

Speak to one of the team at reception and we can direct you to one of the local gyms close by. We get great deals for guests of gilligans.

Where is the pool?

The pool is located past the back deck of Gilligans. If you need directions, ask at Reception and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.
